Ukraine is liberating the occupied territories step by step, and we will go a difficult path to victory - President in Kherson

Ukraine is liberating the occupied territories step by step, and despite the hard battles and the high price of victory, our state will go this difficult path. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conversation with media representatives in Kherson.

"We are coming step by step to all the temporarily occupied territories of our country. Of course, it is difficult, it is a long and hard path. The best heroes of our country are in this war," said the Head of State.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine does not believe the statements of Russia, which is trying to mislead the world community.

"We are moving on. We are ready for peace, but peace for our entire country. This is the territory of our entire state. We respect international law and the sovereignty of every state, and now we are talking about the sovereignty of our state. That is why we are fighting against Russian aggression," the President noted.

He stated that Ukraine will continue to liberate the territories occupied by the aggressor.

"We are not interested in the territory of other countries. We are only interested in the de-occupation of our country and our territories. Therefore, I don't know what will happen next, but it will happen," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President emphasized that today Ukraine is paying a high price for victories at the front, because the enemy does not want to voluntarily return what it captured.

"No one gives anything away so easily. The price of this war is high. People were wounded, a large number of people died. Therefore (Russian troops - ed.) retreated or fled - we believe that they fled because our army surrounded the enemy, and they were in danger. There were fierce battles, and the result is that today we are in the Kherson region," the Head of State noted.
