President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the issue of assistance in the return of Ukrainian citizens from Russian captivity was among the priorities at a meeting with President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The Ukrainian Head of State announced this speaking with media representatives following the negotiations in Istanbul.
"Believe me, Crimean Tatars, and political prisoners, and all our other captives, and deported children are the first thing at our meetings, during our telephone contacts with President Erdoğan at any time. This topic is always prevalent because, for both me and the President, people are a priority," Zelenskyy assured.
At the same time, he said that it is inappropriate to comment on the process until concrete results appear.
