Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak spoke to PBS News about the results of meetings in Munich, the ongoing negotiation process with partners, and the preparation of an economic partnership agreement with the United States.
He emphasized that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's key message is that the world today demands a strong and united Europe, capable of responding to any challenges. Additionally, during meetings in Munich with U.S. Vice President JD Vance and other American officials, Ukraine received commitments for continued support and political will to achieve lasting peace.
"The President made it clear that any plans prepared without Ukraine’s involvement are unacceptable. Security guarantees must be strong, effective, and real – and they must include the United States," Andriy Yermak stated.
The Head of the Presidential Office also revealed that work is underway on a Ukraine-U.S. economic partnership agreement.
"The U.S. is our biggest strategic partner, and we want this to remain the case for the long term. We want to see significant American investment in Ukraine, particularly in the development of our strategic minerals and industrial sectors, including energy. Our friends and partners understand our position," Andriy Yermak noted.
