During his working visit to Japan, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the leadership of the Japan Association of New Economy (JANE).
The Head of State noted that the IT sector was one of the most dynamic in our country and spoke about plans for its development. In particular, about improving the legal framework of Ukraine and the IT tax system, and building a national innovation system.
"We plan to develop innovative infrastructure by opening business incubators, accelerators and innovation platforms, opening iconic R&D centers of world corporations, creating innovative or startup platforms in higher education institutions," the President of Ukraine said.
Japanese businessmen are interested in the project "A State in a Smartphone". Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that the reform of digitization was under his personal control.
The Head of State also highlighted Ukraine's willingness to create a competitive IT product.
“The western world considers our IT professionals cheap labor. It is important for us to change this. We want to create an IT product and sell it in the world,” he said.
The representatives of the association told the President about examples of the most successful innovative projects of artificial intelligence application in Japan, which have already proven their effectiveness in various spheres of life, including tourism, entertainment and cybersecurity.
