Head of State in a meeting with the Vice President of the World Bank: Ukraine is willing to join the new program of cooperation with the IMF after the formation of the government

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Vice President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller in Toronto. The Head of State thanked for the cooperation of the World Bank with Ukraine.

"We want to deepen cooperation. Today, we met with the delegation of the IMF, during which the support of Ukraine was reiterated. We are ready to join the new program after the formation of a new government," the Head of State said.

The President stressed that Ukraine had achieved macroeconomic stability and was ready to continue implementing reforms after the election of a new Verkhovna Rada.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that over 160 decrees putting pressure on business had been abolished. He also announced the preparations for a major privatization.

"We expect this privatization already in 2019," the Head of State noted.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that an investment forum on the restoration of Donbas was scheduled for September in Mariupol.

"And we need your help with investment in the infrastructure of Donbas," the President said.

According to the Head of State, it is important for Ukraine to involve the World Bank in the implementation of infrastructure projects.
