In the framework of the participation in the G7 Summit in Hiroshima, Japan, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with President of the United States Joseph Biden.
The Head of State thanked for the powerful security assistance provided by the United States to Ukraine, which has already amounted to more than $37 billion, as well as for the new military assistance package announced by Joseph Biden worth $375 million.
"A huge gratitude from our people. I am glad that we have such strong relations," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
He emphasized the decision of the U.S. President to support the international aviation coalition.
The leaders discussed further cooperation to bolster the defense capabilities of our country, as well as the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
The Presidents exchanged views on the projects of reconstruction and recovery of our country.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also focused on Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration and preparations for the NATO Summit in Vilnius. The Head of State emphasized the importance of obtaining security guarantees for Ukraine before our country joins the Alliance.
