President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the opening of the II International Forum of Volunteers and Veterans “Ukraine is where we are” in Mystetskyi Arsenal.
The Head of State emphasized that it was a great honor for him to participate in that event.
“Our state and independence exist because of you. What you have done for Ukraine, for its independence, for the protection of our sovereignty, is simply invaluable,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President stressed that the attitude of the current authorities to the veterans of the war in Donbas and volunteers would be based on the principles of respect.
“You are all people with a capital “P”. The government will no longer have right or wrong veterans, acceptable or unwelcome volunteers. I can guarantee you one thing: our attitude to you will be based on three things: respect, respect and once again respect,” the Head of State said.
