Ukrainian-language audio guides are now available in two museums in Türkiye, as announced by Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska.
The new guides have been introduced at the Istanbul Archaeological Museum – the first official museum in the history of the Ottoman Empire and Türkiye, which houses around 1 million exhibits – and at the Troy Museum in the city of Çanakkale.
“Although the historical fact of Troy’s existence was proven thanks to the perseverance of lone enthusiasts like Heinrich Schliemann, the museum named after it emerged as a result of over a century of work by hundreds of scholars. This is another important lesson from history: great goals aren’t achieved by a single person alone. We in Ukraine understand this very well as we defend our country against an invader. That’s why we deeply value our cooperation with our Turkish friends,” said the President’s wife.
There are now 99 Ukrainian-language audio guides available across 52 countries – 10 of them in Türkiye.
“Most of them have been launched over the past three years – in times of Ukraine's defense. And that holds symbolic meaning: our language is defending along with us. It is everywhere Ukrainians are,” Olena Zelenska emphasized.
