President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard a daily report on combating the spread of COVID-19 in the country. It was reported at the meeting that, according to the conclusions of anesthesiologists, the quality of ventilators of domestic production meets the standards of imported equipment. Therefore, the supply of Ukrainian ventilators to hospitals is expected in the coming weeks.
The Ministry of Health announced its readiness to start consultations online, which will be conducted by seven of the most experienced practitioners - anesthesiologists-resuscitators. 100 hub hospitals out of 242 can already join this online course.
“There can’t be too much communication right now. Every doctor should be able to ask questions and discuss a problem that has arisen,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The participants also stressed the importance of close communication with the regions on ensuring conditions of self-isolation, observation of people arriving from abroad, and controlling the compliance with quarantine measures in the regions.
It was emphasized that there may be provocations before the Easter holidays calling for violation of quarantine and security measures.
“The crowds of people on holidays, during the worship services is the most dangerous thing today. Kissing, communion service, staying near. This is a direct way to get infected. And everyone should be aware that they are responsible not only for themselves, but also for the health and lives of their loved ones, relatives and people around them,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
