In the Matter of Security Guarantees, There Can Be No Compromises Regarding Ukraine's Independence and Territorial Integrity – Andriy Yermak

Ukraine must receive clear and effective security guarantees from its partners, which should ensure the achievement of a just and lasting peace. This was stated by the Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, during the "Ukraine. Year 2025" Forum.

“Today, we truly see an opportunity, the moment when this war could be stopped. But for Ukrainians, it matters how this war ends. This is our future,” he said.

According to the Head of the Presidential office, American and European investments in intelligence and mineral extraction can be one of the elements of security guarantees. Ukraine continues negotiations with the United States on the preparation of a relevant document.

“We are in a normal working process. It can take a day or even months. The agreement that is to emerge must align with Ukraine's national interests and be attractive to our partners,” Andriy Yermak noted.

He also emphasized that Ukraine is strengthening relations with other countries regarding security guarantees and enhancing its representation on international platforms.

“Today, Ukraine is respected worldwide and is counted on as a serious, influential and reliable partner. The foundation of our position lies here. And these are the principles we follow in our conversations with partners," Andriy Yermak emphasized.

The Head of the Presidential Office added that it is important to maintain unity within society and prevent the enemy from destabilizing the domestic political situation and spreading disinformation in the world.

“We highly value the bipartisan support we have in the U.S. Congress. They always speak with one voice. This is very important. And I believe that our democracy, which is currently fighting for itself, serves as an example that we must also take into account,” Andriy Yermak concluded.
