Leaders' Summit on Support for Ukraine Begins in Paris

A Summit of state leaders has begun in Paris to discuss support for Ukraine in deterring Russian aggression and achieving a just and lasting peace.

The event is attended by the Presidents of Ukraine, France, Lithuania, Finland, Cyprus, the Acting President of Romania, the Chancellor of Germany, the Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Spain, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Sweden, the Vice President of Türkiye, the Presidents of the European Council and the European Commission, and the NATO Secretary General. Austria, Australia, and Canada are represented by their Ambassadors.

The participants will discuss continued steadfast support for Ukraine, along with the strengthening of the Ukrainian army and defense industry, which are two of the key security guarantees for our country.

They will separately address all issues related to the peace negotiation process and the mechanisms for implementing the first steps of the ceasefire.

The leaders will also discuss the prospect of deploying guarantee forces in Ukraine as part of a future peace settlement backed by the United States.
