President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the exhibition "Arms and Security" and got acquainted with the latest developments of weapons, military and special equipment. The exhibition takes place in Kyiv.
In particular, the Head of State inspected the Neptune mobile cruise missile complex, represented by the State enterprise "State Kyiv Design Bureau" Luch " (which is a part of the SC "Ukroboronprom"). "Neptune" is a cruise anti-ship missile, designed to destroy warships.
State enterprise "State Kyiv Design Bureau "Luch" also presented antitank missile systems "Stugna-P", "Corsair" and "Barrier" as well as man portable antitank missile system "Skif" portable anti-tank missile system.
The President inspected a stand of the State Enterprise "Scientific and Production Complex "Iskra", which is also a part of the SC "Ukroboronprom". In particular, the Head of State got acquainted with a mobile 3D surveillance radar designed to detect targets flying at low, medium and high altitudes.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the expositions of the State Research Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization.
The President inspected specialized cars "VARTA" and "NOVATOR", as well as cars for transportation of the wounded at the stand of LLC " Ukrainian Armored Vehicles".
The Head of State also got acquainted with the exposures of the "Research and Production Association "Practika" and inspected the armored personnel carriers "Kozak" and "Otaman" - equipment wich was developed by this company.
In addition, the President got acquainted with the developments of the international company Hikvision, which manufactures surveillance tools. The "Safe City" project was launched in close cooperation with this company in 2016.
The President inspected unmanned aerial vehicles manufactured by the Turkish company BAYKAR Defense and Technologies.
The Head of State also got acquainted with Glock, Kimber and Ganik pistols, knives and rounds at the "Ibis" exposition.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy inspected helicopters of the Mi-8 MSB and Mi-2 MSB of Motor-Sich company, as well as an Airbus helicopter purchased in France for the needs of the National Police, the State Emergency Service, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the National Guard.
"We should have more powerful army. We respect our military, we are very pleased with the innovative inventions of Ukrainians and design bureaus. We should be very powerful to have high-level army," the President said.
