On the International Day of Education, Volodymyr Zelenskyy Met with Talented Youth

On the International Day of Education, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy participated in the First National Forum of Talented Youth.

The event brought together more than 400 young Ukrainians from the fields of education, science and sports. Among them were winners of international and national competitions, laureates of the World Robot Olympiad and European Championships in various sports, as well as high school graduates with the best results in External Independent Evaluation and the National Multi-Subject Test.

“I am sincerely thankful for who you are and for you being in Ukraine. It's great to see so many progressive young people in Ukraine. I am deeply grateful for this, because this is the very essence of what the state is fighting for. For you, for everyone,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The topics discussed during the Forum included the future of Ukraine, the role of talented youth in the country's post-war recovery, the development of promising areas of science, and factors that will facilitate the return of Ukrainians from abroad. In particular, the President noted that one of the key conditions is new investments and the implementation of economic projects.

“No one will bring anyone back by force. Attractiveness and a market economy always bring people back – all this will happen after the war, one hundred percent. In any case. Because only people are capable of restoration. And first of all, these will be the people of Ukraine and many foreign companies that will come to this market,” the Head of State noted.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also highlighted the achievements of talented scientists and presented more than 50 honorary distinctions of the Prize of the President of Ukraine for Young Scientists, recognizing their work in the fields of digital technologies, innovation, physics, chemistry, mechanics, construction, medicine, ecology, history and law.

The Forum was also attended by the Minister of Education and Science, Oksen Lisovyi; the Minister of Youth and Sports, Matvii Bidnyi; the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Olena Kovalska; the Adviser – Commissioner of the President on the Fund of the President of Ukraine for the Support of Education, Science, and Sports, Olha Budnyk; the President of the National Olympic Committee, Vadym Guttsait, as well as cultural and educational figures and athletes, including Olympic champion Olga Kharlan.

The forum was organized at the initiative of the Fund of the President of Ukraine for the Support of Education, Science, and Sports. From now on, the Forum will be held annually not only to support talented young people, but also to motivate them to realize their potential in Ukraine.
