In the framework of Olena Zelenska's project, Ukrainian-language audio guides were launched in three museums of Turkey at once

During a working visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the Republic of Turkey, First Lady Olena Zelenska took part in the solemn launch of the Ukrainian audio guide in the largest palace of Turkey - Dolmabahçe. At the same time, Ukrainian-language audio guides were presented at two other well-known cultural monuments in Turkey - the Ephesus Open-Air Museum and the Göreme National Park in Cappadocia.

The solemn event on the occasion of the launch of Ukrainian-language audio guides was also attended by the First Lady of Turkey Emine Erdoğan.

Audio guides in Ukrainian were introduced with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey. The translation was made by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Turkey and the Consulate General of Ukraine in Istanbul.

"Our countries - Ukraine and Turkey - are united not only by the Black Sea, but also by centuries of common history, common culture, friendship and strategic partnership. And today, by launching Ukrainian-language audio guides in three of Turkey’s most famous museums at once, we are uniting our countries even more,” Olena Zelenska said during the ceremony.

In total, Ukrainian-language audio guides have already been launched in five largest museums of Turkey. In 2019, audio guides in Ukrainian also appeared in Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace.

"Every year, more than a million Ukrainians visit Turkey to relax and recuperate. And also - to get themselves acquainted with the majestic cultural heritage of this country, which should be available to our citizens in the Ukrainian language. And we will continue to work to increase the number of Ukrainian audio guides in Turkey and in the world in general,” Olena Zelenska stressed.
