During an official visit of the President of Ukraine to Great Britain, President's wife Olena Zelenska visited the Tower of London Museum, where on her initiative a Memorandum was signed on the launch of the first Ukrainian-language audio guide in Great Britain.
In accordance with the provisions of the Memorandum, the Administration of Historic Royal Palaces (London) supports the initiative of the First Lady and undertakes to soon introduce a Ukrainian-language audio guide in one of the most prominent places not only in Great Britain, but also in the world - the Tower of London.
A separate important agreement is the willingness of British partners to continue to cooperate with Ukraine and to spread the practice of introducing audio guides in Ukrainian in other museums and historic royal palaces of the country.
"For Ukraine and for me personally, audio guides in Ukrainian are not just about convenience and accessibility. This is, first of all, about the acceptance of Ukraine in the world, about its voice, which will soon be heard in the Tower of London. I am sincerely grateful to all those who supported my initiative and laid the foundation for the Ukrainian language to soon be heard in one of the most prominent and famous places in the world," Olena Zelenska emphasized.
The Tower of London (Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress of the Tower of London) is one of the most prominent architectural monuments in the UK, the historic center of London. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Almost 3 million tourists visit the museum every year.
