Ukrainian-Language Audio Guide Launched in Chișinău Museum

A Ukrainian-language audio guide has been launched at the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History in Chișinău. This was announced by First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.

“My words of gratitude to Moldova, which has demonstrated what it means to be a good neighbor and friend since the first days of the Russian invasion, and which has hosted more than 125 thousand Ukrainian forced migrants. We are especially grateful for Moldova’s support of Ukrainian culture and identity. Thank you for training Ukrainian language teachers and for opening more than 70 Ukrainian bookshelves in Moldovan libraries. And today, we have taken another important step: the launch of the Ukrainian-language audio guide,” Olena Zelenska emphasized.

The First Lady noted that with this initiative, the museum has become part of a major project under her patronage, which already includes 96 audio guides in 53 countries. It aims to introduce Ukrainian-language audio guides at key landmarks around the world.

“It is significant that today in Chișinău, not only an audio guide in Ukrainian is being made available, but also its version for people who use Ukrainian sign language. History and culture, like all knowledge and opportunities, must be accessible to everyone. Only then do they unite rather than divide,” the President's wife said.

She thanked the Embassy of Ukraine in Moldova, the Ministry of Culture of Moldova, the museum administration, and all the patrons who made the project possible.
