President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited one of the divisions of the 27th Rocket Artillery Brigade named after Petro Kalnyshevskyi. During his visit, he inspected the equipment, received a briefing and presented state awards to the warriors.
This brigade was the first in Ukraine to receive HIMARS systems and now provides artillery support for the defense of the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.
The President received a briefing from Commander of the Tavria Operational Group of Troops Hennadii Shapovalov on completed operations, in particular with the use of long-range weaponry, specifics of deploying HIMARS systems, and the dynamics of ammunition supplies for them.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the defenders on Land Forces Day and the recent Day of Missile and Artillery Forces. He presented them with the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky I-III class and the Orders “For Courage” III class.
“It’s a great honor to be here with you today, to present you with awards, and to thank you for your service – for defending Ukraine, the families of all Ukrainians, and our homeland. Thank you. I wish you health, resilience, strength, and victory. May the HIMARS never fail you, and may they strike enemy targets,” the President said.
