President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of the United States Donald Trump in New York. He thanked the United States for supporting Ukraine.
"We have two wars. The first is against corruption, but I am sure that we will certainly win in this war. However, my priority is to stop the war in Donbas and regain our territories - Crimea, Donbas. Thank you for your support in this issue,” the Head of State noted during a meeting.
The President also thanked the European countries for their support. "It is only together with the US and the EU that we can stop the war in Ukraine," Volodymyr Zelenskyy added.
The Head of State stressed that Ukraine is the largest country in Europe, but it also wants to be the most prosperous. He said the parliament and the government had been changed, the Prosecutor General's Office had been restarted, the Supreme Anticorruption Court had been launched and a number of laws had been passed to help accelerate economic growth and overcome corruption.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy underscored Ukraine's interest in US investment.
For his part, Donald Trump said he considered Ukraine strategically important for the EU.
The US President also stressed the importance of increasing trade turnover between the countries.
The Head of State thanked the US President for his invitation to visit Washington and invited him to make a visit to Ukraine.
