During a press conference, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the idea and the events being prepared for the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
According to the Head of State, the 12 best companies worked on a volunteer basis to develop a logo for the 30th anniversary of independence, and the company from Lviv won.
"A wonderful company. This is the flower they presented to us. This will be the main flower of the 30th anniversary. The symbol of Ukraine "You are my only one". It seems to me that this is the right symbol of our statehood. This is our country. It is not just prosperous - we cannot be trampled, we cannot be cut down, we cannot be broken, we will still be a prosperous country and we will certainly flourish,” the President said.
Also, according to him, each region of Ukraine will have its own unique flower-logo in the colors of this region.
The Head of State said that the festivities on the 30th anniversary of independence will last for 3 days.
According to the President, a new award - "National Legend" - will be presented on August 22.
"We will award great Ukrainians. An award that has analogues in Western countries will be initiated. These will be legends that glorify Ukraine both in Ukraine and abroad - all over the world. There will be an award ceremony, there will be a big concert," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
On the Day of the National Flag, August 23, the Ukrainian flag will be raised in Kyiv and in all regions of Ukraine in specially arranged places for this holiday.
The first Summit of the Crimean Platform will also take place on this day.
"The first event aimed to deoccupy our Crimean peninsula. There will be many representatives of many countries. Important documents will be signed on this platform. There will be presidents, prime ministers, heads of churches of other countries. Speakers and foreign ministers are also invited. I think that in total about 30 countries will be represented,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
As world leaders will arrive in Ukraine with their spouses, the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen launched by Ukraine will take place on this day.
"It will touch upon very important social issues that leaders usually do not raise, although they are very important," the President said.
In particular, climate and environmental issues, gender equality, a barrier-free environment will be addressed.
A festive concert is also planned on this day for the leaders of the states at the National Opera of Ukraine with the participation of opera and ballet legends.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a parade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will take place on Independence Day, August 24.
"The parade will be of a large scale, both on land and water - on the Dnieper River, in Odesa, in Kyiv, on Maidan," the President said.
In addition, in the evening there will be a big concert of Ukrainian show business stars at the Olympic NSC.
The President will also hold numerous bilateral meetings with world leaders during these three days.
