It is vital for the state that students see their future at home, as they have always been a driver of change in independent Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a speech on the occasion of the 185th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
“You have always been a driver of change in independent Ukraine, from the Revolution on Granite that became the basis for the birth of independence to the Revolution of Dignity. That is why it is vital for the state that you see your future in Ukraine,” the President said, addressing the students of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasizes that students in the modern world where there are no borders and restrictions can realize themselves anywhere in the world. But trying to build a strong, prosperous Ukraine is an interesting and ambitious challenge.
“I believe that we are capable of that. So let us set ourselves such tasks, let us conquer new peaks in the coming years,” he said.
The Head of State congratulated the students, lecturers and graduates of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv on the 185th anniversary of the educational institution. According to him, the KNU is the pride of the Ukrainian state, this university has always been a place of creation and development of progressive ideas and its functioning is of strategic importance for Ukraine.
"Future graduates along with other representatives of a new generation of Ukrainians are our hope," the President said.
After the speech, Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the state awards to the employees of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv for a significant contribution to the development of national education and science, training of highly qualified specialists, many years of fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity and on the occasion of the 185th anniversary of the establishment of the educational institution.
