More than 100 participants begin their studies in the Reintegration Management Program, a project to train management professionals for the de-occupied territories. This is one of the steps developed at the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to ensure the effective reintegration of Crimea shortly after the liberation of the peninsula.
"When we analyzed the areas and calculated the number of employees we need for the de-occupied region, along with the required level of professional training, it became clear that we have to start preparing a personnel reserve right now, because the required number of people cannot be trained at once," said Tamila Tasheva, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, at the opening ceremony.
She noted that a joint pilot project with the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service has already been launched to create a pool of civil servants ready to work in the de-occupied territories. We have created the educational programs "Post-Conflict Governance" and "Governance in the Post-War Territories" at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, as well as an online course for civil servants "ProKrym: State Policy for the Reintegration of Crimea".
The opening ceremony was also attended by Oleksandr Korniyenko, First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and Іryna Tykhomyrova, President of the International Management Institute (MIM) Business School. The participants discussed the main directions of the post-occupation state reintegration policies, including restoration of public authorities and personnel; prosecution of international crimes and crimes against national security; verification of documents and decisions of the occupying courts; humanitarian policy and demilitarization of the educational and cultural spheres; economic recovery.
The program was initiated by the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and implemented by MIM Business School with the support of the Office of the President of Ukraine and the Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative (UCBI) project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
