President of Ukraine

Speeches

I’m grateful to all of you for your unity in protecting lives. We do value the G7 security declaration and the 26 bilateral security agreements, which fortify us all. And now, more than 30 countries and the EU have agreed to the declaration, truly strong declaration focused on rebuilding Ukraine after the hostilities.

We must uphold the UN Charter and guarantee our right – Ukraine’s right – to territorial integrity and sovereignty, just as we do for any other nation.

Russia can only be forced into peace. And that is exactly what’s needed – forcing Russia into peace as the sole aggressor in this war, the sole violator of the UN Charter.

It is important that the world is working to develop a shared vision for the best future for humanity. As soon as such collective efforts begin, true interests are always revealed.

We don’t have much time. The next few months will be decisive. Ahead of us in this war – Russia’s war against Ukraine and all of you because this is Russia’s war against freedom itself, – we are short of time to define what the outcome will be. And we must define it.

Together with our partners, we can strengthen our positions as needed for our victory – our shared victory – for a truly just peace. In the United States, Ukraine will present its Plan for Victory, and the U.S. President will be the first to see it in full.

Today, once again, it is worth praising our warriors for their precision – precision on the enemy's territory. This is a fundamental turning point – our ability to bring the war back home – to Russia.

The energy issue was also discussed in detail with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. Her today's visit has contributed to the sensitive support of Ukraine. There is a new package for our energy sector from the European Union – EUR 160 million.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have now managed to reduce the assault capabilities of the occupiers in the Donetsk region. The situation remains extremely challenging, with heavy fighting daily in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions. But we are doing everything possible for the resilience of our combat brigades.
