President of Ukraine

Speeches

As long as your hearts, volunteer hearts, and the spirit of help and support are beating, our people are fighting, Ukraine is fighting. Relentlessly. And we are fighting.

The International Maritime Organization will now support our efforts, and there is a corresponding decision to assess the technical assistance we need for the proper functioning of the sea corridor.

This battle is where Ukrainians need support every day. Specific things that strengthen Ukraine. Things that add strength to our positions, to our state.

I thank you all for making this week bring results for our country, for achieving our goals.

Thanks to everyone helping defend our positions – building fortifications, mining the paths that occupiers try to use.

I am grateful to everyone working on this kind of construction, in the production of materials. We also discussed the needs that we will address with our partners to reinforce our defense lines.

Today is entirely dedicated to our southern regions. First, Odesa and the region, then Mykolaiv, and afterwards, Kherson. Many issues were raised, almost all of them concerning security, protection of our state and people.

I have just held a special, lengthy and detailed meeting of the Staff. First up – fortification. We are significantly enhancing our fortifications. There was also an important analysis of recent attacks against Ukraine – missiles, massive drone strikes. There were, of course, reports from commanders on all fronts.

Operational headquarters at both the national and regional levels will continue to work until the situation is normalized. I am grateful to everyone in the regional and local authorities who promptly joined in to help people and gives results.
