President of Ukraine

Speeches

All day today, the rubble in Kramatorsk was being cleared after a Russian missile strike. Among those injured were journalists, including a film crew from Reuters. Citizens of Ukraine, America and Britain.

33 years ago, Ukraine was reborn on the maps of the world, and today Ukraine wins the hearts of the entire world. It inspires with courage. It serves as an example of how not to be afraid of Putin. And it unites the world around its Ukrainian worldview: in the 21st century, terrorists should find their reckoning in The Hague, not comfort in Valday.

And I am proud of everyone who makes our blue and yellow colors so strong and worthy. I am proud of all our people who defend our state, defend our independence. This is the reflection of exactly such people of ours – the respect of the world for Ukraine and the fact that Ukrainian flags can be seen in all leading capitals of the democratic world.

Today, by my decree, I have instructed the government to approve the National Strategy of Veterans Policy and the Strategy for the Formation of a System of Transition from Military Service to Civilian Life. These documents address all aspects of the interaction between the state and veterans.

We understand the enemy's steps and we are getting stronger. We have checked the ammunition supply. And it is very important that our partners really fulfill their obligations. On each package, on all our agreements. This is fundamental for our defense.

There was a report from Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi. The frontline. Defense in the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions. The situation is difficult, but our guys are doing everything to eliminate the occupier. The Commander-in-Chief also reported on the updates in the Kursk direction.

I am grateful to all of you who are truly working, with all your might, for our state and people. And we must all maintain our energy – fighting for victories for Ukraine and defending the interests of Ukrainians.

Everything that inflicts losses on the Russian army, Russian state, their military-industrial complex, and their economy helps prevent the war from expanding and brings us closer to a just end to this aggression – a just peace for Ukraine.

We are doing everything to provide our warriors with the necessary weapons and reinforcements. And in this regard, it is undoubtedly important for us that our partners remove the barriers that prevent us from weakening Russian positions as required by the course of the war.

We see that the occupier is suffering losses, and this is helpful, very helpful for our defense. It is about destroying the logistics of the Russian army and draining their reserves.
