President of Ukraine

Speeches

Preliminary data suggests that the Russians are trying to conceal the losses of the North Koreans. Ukraine’s Defense Forces and intelligence are working to determine the full extent of the actual losses suffered by Russian units that include North Koreans.

The situation remains difficult in the Pokrovsk sector and with Kurakhove. I am grateful to all the units that are destroying the occupiers there. I would also like to express particular gratitude to our warriors in the Kursk region – we need strength there to achieve the right outcomes for Ukraine and Ukrainians in diplomacy.

In essence, Moscow has dragged another state into this war, and to the fullest extent possible. And if this is not escalation, then what is the escalation that so many have been talking about?

This was one of the largest Russian attacks against our energy sector today. 94 missiles of various types, both cruise and ballistic. 81 of them were shot down. In addition, almost 200 strike drones were launched.

We need genuine peace, which means we must be genuinely strong for this.

Coordination and joint work always lead to achieving results. This is what Europe needs now, not some individual efforts in defiance of everyone else on the continent.

A rescue operation is currently underway in Zaporizhzhia after a Russian missile strike. It was a ballistic missile. It hit the city buildings. Eighteen people have been wounded, all of them are receiving assistance. But tragically, there are some deaths. My condolences to their families.

Modern warfare is not only a confrontation on the battlefield, not only a fight of muscles, it is also a battle of intellect. And you, our scientists, especially over the past almost three difficult years for Ukraine, the years of war, have made significant achievements in these battles.

I gave instructions to prepare a detailed report for the next meeting of the Staff. Right now, a review must be conducted to identify what needs immediate change, what must be corrected, what should be added, and who else needs to be replaced. Everything necessary can be provided – both at the organizational level and in terms of funding.

Respect. Gratitude. Honor. From the entire Ukrainian people, to each of you. To everyone who, with blood, tears, and fire, is writing a new history of independent Ukraine.
