President of Ukraine

Speeches

This year, the EU Presidency will be held first by Poland, and in the second half of the year by Denmark. They are very responsible partners of ours. From the Ukrainian side, we will ensure everything necessary to take the right steps.

Since the beginning of the Kursk operation, the enemy has already lost over 38,000 troops in this area alone, including approximately 15,000 irrecoverable losses.

We’re already preparing for the upcoming meeting in Ramstein, scheduled for this week. Dozens of partner countries will participate, including those capable of boosting our defense not only against missiles but also against guided bombs and Russian aircraft.

There was also a report today by Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi regarding the situation on the front and in the areas of the Kursk operation. Every day – including December 31 and January 1 – there are constant Russian assaults in the Donetsk region.

May 2025 be our year. The year of Ukraine. We know that peace will not be given to us as a gift. But we will do everything to stop Russia and end the war. This is what each of us wishes for.

Today, Ukraine has received significant support packages from the United States – packages worth several billion dollars. This assistance will strengthen the frontlines in the near future, help us repel Russian assaults, and support Ukraine in saving lives.

We need a person who can effectively protect the rights of our warriors and such a systemic capacity so that the ombudsman, together with the Ministry of Defense and all the others who are needed, can really influence the situation and really help warriors and the families of our warriors.

And I have instructed our Government officials to do everything possible, together with the European Commission, together with all our partners in Europe, everything possible to maintain the stability of the united European energy system and uphold European energy rules.

Details of the Kursk region’s developments – the North Korean military is involved in the fighting. They have many losses. A great deal. And we can see that the Russian military and the North Korean enforcers have no interest in the survival of these Koreans at all.

It is very important that the United States is now increasing deliveries. This is necessary to stabilize the situation. I am grateful to our partners. The pace of deliveries must be such that it disrupts the pace of Russian assaults.
