President of Ukraine

Speeches

Now we are already preparing for new negotiations that will take place this week. We will continue to present our strategy for forcing Russia into peace to our European partners.

I thank every partner of Ukraine who has already invested in our Ukraine's defense industry. Thanks to such investments we have already significantly increased our production, especially of drones.

It is an important week of meetings with our friends in Europe – the largest defense donors and also the strategic region of the Balkans and Southeast Europe in general.

If Russia had succeeded in subjugating our country and threatening all of Eastern Europe, there’s no doubt that the next region Moscow would use to destabilize Europe would be the Baltics or Balkans. So we share a common interest in ensuring that Russia lacks the power to continue its aggression or interfere in the lives of other nations.

We continue our work on sanctions – two new sanctions packages were imposed today. On those who have betrayed Ukraine and also, on military production in Russia – those legal entities and individuals who are working for terror.

We will present the Victory Plan to everyone who can strengthen Ukraine – to every country that can really help bring peace closer.

The Commander-in-Chief, along with other military officials and representatives of the Ministry of Defense, will work with our partners next week on the details of the Victory Plan – both military and strategic security points.

This is our goal, our task – to guarantee Ukraine reliable peace and long-term security. This is possible only based on international law and without any bargaining over sovereignty or trading territories.

Today – the Sumy region, regional work. I held a meeting of the Staff here, and the main issue is the defense of our infrastructure, our energy sector – the operation of air defense.

The invitation for Ukraine to join NATO and the progress toward membership is a constant topic on the table in our discussions with partners. Only with Ukraine’s full integration and our clear place in the Euro-Atlantic space can we effectively eliminate Russia’s old, criminal temptation to disrupt the European way of life.
