President of Ukraine

Speeches

Our delegation has just reported on the meeting with the American team in Saudi Arabia. The discussion lasted most of the day today, and it was a good discussion – constructive, our teams managed to cover many details.

I want to thank all our units who, steadfastly and despite everything, are destroying the occupier, repelling assaults, and defending our positions. Diplomacy will only be strong with strong frontline positions.

They are thinking not about how to end the war, but about how to destroy and capture more as long as the world allows them to keep waging this war.

We continue working on the relevant steps with our partners who want peace, who want it just as much as we do. And next week there will be a lot of work here in Europe, with America, in Saudi Arabia – we are preparing a meeting to accelerate peace and strengthen the foundations of security.

Ukrainians do really want peace, but not at the cost of giving up Ukraine. Is Russia capable of giving up the war – this is the question that any negotiations must answer.

We hope to see the first results next week. We must also reignite progress on our European path, particularly concerning our European integration – clusters in the process of accession negotiations.

For us, maintaining normal, partnership-based relations with America is essential to bringing the war to a real end. None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine will always be grateful to the U.S. for all the support that has been and is being provided. We seek constructive cooperation. Partnership-based relations.

Ukraine, all of Europe, and America – together, we can ensure decades of peace. And for this, we must stay constructive – work together, complement each other's proposals, and speed up diplomacy to end the war.

In the near future, all of us in Europe will shape our common positions – the lines we must achieve and the lines we cannot compromise on. These positions will be presented to our partners in the United States.

The agreement with America. Support for our state and people. Guarantees of peace and security – this is the key to ensuring that Russia will no longer destroy the lives of other nations. I will meet with President Trump. For me and for all of us in the world, it is crucial that America’s assistance is not stopped.
