Seven new schools will be commissioned in the Volyn region this year - Volodymyr Zelenskyy

During a working trip to the Volyn region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the newly built kindergarten in the village of Krupa, belonging to the Pidhaitsi united territorial community, which was built as part of the implementation of the National Program "Great Construction".

The need to build a new kindergarten for 105 children is due to the fact that more than 250 children from nine settlements of the UTC do not have access to preschool education. In addition, the kindergarten creates 32 new jobs.

The institution is planned to open in August 2020.

The Head of State noted that the kindergarten in the village of Krupa is quite modern, but it is necessary to complete landscaping work on the surrounding area.

"There is not enough atmosphere. It is provided by flowers, trees, and above all - children. I am sure that this atmosphere will appear on September 1, and children will enjoy learning and playing here,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Head of the Volyn regional state administration Yuriy Pohulyayko told the President about other social facilities that are being restored in the region in the framework of the "Great Construction" program.

"We have seven schools, three kindergartens and two sports grounds. Taking into account our new stadium, there will be three stadiums. It will be a big stadium - under the program "Ukraine - Champion" dedicated to our outstanding coach of the Lutsk team," the head of the regional state administration noted.

"Seven new schools (in the Volyn region - ed.) will be commissioned this year. And three kindergartens. In total - 10. According to the plan we had five schools and five kindergartens. It is necessary to increase the number of kindergartens in this program next year, there is not enough of then,” the President said.
