We agreed that our countries can and should develop this potential," the Ukrainian President said during a conversation with the media.
According to him, Simonetta Sommaruga noted Ukraine’s progress in the implementation of reforms and willingness to continue cooperation in this direction.
“The evidence of that is the Fifth International Conference on Reforms in Ukraine that will be held in Switzerland in 2022. We signed a Memorandum defining a specific algorithm of actions to prepare for this important event,” the President informed.
He also informed that the parties had discussed the issue of countering the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Head of State emphasized that Switzerland is an example of high quality for our country, and the Ukrainian authorities are doing everything today for Ukraine to be always mentioned only in such context, “for Switzerland and all our international partners to fairly consider us an example of positive changes and development”.
Simonetta Sommaruga noted that Switzerland can provide support to Ukraine in the sphere of environmental protection and infrastructure projects.
