Regarding the change of the Chief of the General Staff of the AFU, the Commander of the Air Assault Troops of the AFU and the Commander of the JFO

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has decided to change the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Commander of the Air Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Commander of the Joint Forces Operation. Accordingly, Serhiy Korniychuk, Yevhen Moysiuk and Volodymyr Kravchenko have been dismissed.

Serhiy Shaptala has been appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Oleksandr Pavliuk has been appointed Commander of the Joint Forces Operation.

The Head of State draws the attention of commanders of all levels in the Armed Forces, leadership in the field of defense and security to the need to intensify the fulfillment of tasks aimed at ensuring the modernization of our army and 100% training of servicemen to defend Ukraine in modern warfare.

"Now the world is undergoing a rapid transformation of forces and means of waging a war. Our military must be ready to perform tasks as effectively as possible in any conditions," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The President emphasizes that effective cooperation between commanders and leadership at all levels is the basis for the successful functioning of the defense and security sector.

"After the rotations and replacement of commanders and leadership in both the army and the Ministry of Defense, I expect more systemic work and greater understanding by each soldier of our army of the prospects of development of the Armed Forces in general," the President concluded.
