In Munich, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of Finland Alexander Stubb to discuss further joint steps.
The Ukrainian leader spoke about engagement with the new U.S. Presidential Administration and shared details of his meetings and discussions with European leaders. It is important to develop an action plan and reliable security guarantees together with all allies.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Alexander Stubb separately discussed defense assistance to Ukraine and direct investments in the production of Ukrainian long-range weapons. In total, Finland has already allocated 27 assistance packages. Our state counts on additional military support and expects full delivery of the already-announced packages.
Other important topics of the meeting included the strengthening of sanctions against Russia's shadow tanker fleet. It is important to deprive Russia of the opportunity to finance the war in order to force it to establish a just and lasting peace.
The President of Ukraine thanked Alexander Stubb and his team for their support of the Ukrainian people and their efforts to end the war.
