President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Lithuania Laurynas Kasčiūnas, who is on a visit to Ukraine.
The Head of State thanked Lithuania for its comprehensive political support and for its significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities in the context of Russian aggression.
"We are grateful to Lithuania and your people for the support from the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion. And we hope that you will stay with us until its end and our victory. This is very important for us," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President emphasized the importance of the Agreement on Security Cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania, signed by him and Gitanas Nausėda in Brussels on June 24 this year.
During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail our country's priority defense needs and further assistance from Lithuania, primarily in the field of air defense, drones and other critical equipment.
Special attention was paid to joint steps for the development of the Ukrainian defense industry.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Lithuania for its effective support of Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
