During his working visit to Luxembourg, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva took part in the first EU-Ukraine intergovernmental conference.
He held talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he met with the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Political Affairs Laure Huberty and the Deputy Director of the Department of Defense Nicolas Gierten.
The parties discussed the security situation in Ukraine and the extent of the destruction of critical infrastructure, especially energy one. Ihor Zhovkva informed the foreign partners about the priority needs of our country.
The Deputy Head of the Presidential Office noted the contribution of Luxembourg in the successful operation of the international coalition of modern fighter jets and the country's co-leadership in the international IT coalition.
The parties also discussed the results of the inaugural Peace Summit held in Switzerland on June 15-16. Ihor Zhovkva thanked Luxembourg for its support of the Peace Formula, its high-level participation in the Summit, and the active role of Prime Minister Luc Frieden in ensuring its success.
"We count on Luxembourg's participation in thematic international events at the governmental and expert levels to implement the points of the Peace Formula," the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office emphasized.
In addition, Ihor Zhovkva, together with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Guillaume of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, took part in the opening of the international tech conference Nexus 2050, where this year Ukraine is represented as a special guest among 5,000 participants and more than 200 speakers.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office held a separate meeting with His Royal Highness, during which he thanked Luxembourg, the Grand Ducal Family and all the people of Luxembourg for their comprehensive support of Ukraine and practical assistance since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
