Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Roman Mashovets met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Ukraine Melinda Simmons.
The interlocutors discussed a number of issues related to the deepening of cooperation between Ukraine and the United Kingdom in the security, defense and military-technical spheres.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the promising projects aimed to improve the capabilities of the Naval Forces of the AFU and assist in building a national system of resilience.
Roman Mashovets stressed the importance of practical assistance from the United Kingdom and expanding bilateral cooperation to strengthen the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian state.
The Deputy Head of the Office of the President informed the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in detail about the developments in the east of our country.
For her part, Melinda Simmons reaffirmed the continued support of Ukraine by Great Britain in opposing the aggression of the Russian Federation. The Ambassador stressed the importance of investing in promising projects as soon as possible to maximize the effectiveness of British aid.
The parties agreed to maintain an active dialogue on these issues and to promote the further development of the Ukrainian-British partnership.
