Deputy Head of the President’s Office Roman Mashovets met with US Defense Attache Brittany Stewart and other representatives of the US Embassy in Ukraine to discuss security issues within preparations for the Ukrainian President's visit to the United States.
Roman Mashovets noted the practical readiness to elaborate three bilateral documents on defense partnership, projects in the field of research, development, testing and evaluation and cooperation in the space sphere. The American party emphasized its willingness to sign these documents during the visit of the President of Ukraine to the United States.
Other issues of the content of the visit were agreed.
At the initiative of the Deputy Head of the Office of the President, ways to increase the efficiency and possible increase of the group of American security and defense advisers were discussed. Roman Mashovets noted the need for advisory assistance that Ukraine receives from the United States and suggested expanding the scope of its provision.
For her part, Brittany Stewart expressed willingness for such steps and provided suggestions for their practical implementation.
During the meeting the parties also exchanged views on further development of Ukrainian-American cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.
