During a working trip to the Zakarpattia region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Zakarpattia Regional Philharmonic.
Director of the institution Ivan Mykyta showed the Head of State a concert hall.
According to him, it can accommodate 500 viewers and has unique acoustic features. A special value of the Philharmonic is the old Czech organ. Earlier, the synagogue of the Orthodox Ashkenazi Jewish community was located in this building.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also watched the facade of the Philharmonic.
Ivan Mykyta said that the building, which was erected in 1904, needs major repairs.
The President stressed that the renovation of the building of Zakarpattia Regional Philharmonic will be included in the National Program "Great Construction" in culture for the next year.
