The program of activities of the Cabinet of Ministers needs to be finalized, as it was developed before the coronavirus pandemic and does not take into account the introduction of restrictive measures and economic losses, as stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a working trip to the Khmelnytskyi region.
"The government's program was drafted, but no one expected coronavirus. So he (Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal - ed.) addressed the people and said: we have coronavirus, quarantine measures, and the government's program needs to change through COVID-19. It needs to be updated," the Head of State said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the Prime Minister himself asked the Verkhovna Rada to submit the government's program of activities for revision.
