The project to launch Ukrainian-language audio guides, initiated by First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, was implemented in three museums in Italy and Sweden. In addition, a memorandum was signed to launch an audio tour in Ukrainian at Westminster Abbey in the UK.
On the occasion of Europe Day, Ukrainian diplomatic missions launched Ukrainian-language audio guides in the Galleria Borghese in Rome, one of the most famous art museums in Italy, and in the Royal Museums of Turin, which includes the Royal Palace, the Royal Armory, the Savoy Gallery, the Archaeological Museum, the Royal Gardens, and the Chapel of the Holy Shroud.
A Ukrainian audio guide has also been launched at the Nordic Museum, a private museum of ethnography and culture in Stockholm, Sweden. Here you can learn about the life of the Swedish people from 1520 to the present day.
As a result, 63 Ukrainian-language audio guides are now available in the world as part of the First Lady's project.
Soon, a Ukrainian-language audio tour will be available in Westminster Abbey, the main church of Great Britain, located in the central London district of Westminster.
The Ukrainian side signed a memorandum with the abbot of the abbey.
Since 1066, all monarchs of the United Kingdom have been crowned at Westminster Abbey. The most recent coronation ceremony took place on May 6, 2023, when Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla were enthroned.
"Even in the most difficult times - especially in the most difficult times - Ukrainian language continues to unite countries and peoples and speak to fellow countrymen. Wherever you are, our language will be there," Olena Zelenska emphasized.
