Indicators from the Ministry of Health also show a stabilization of the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine. This is reflected in the statistics of active patients and the level of hospitalization, which has hardly changed in recent weeks.
In addition, Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov said that the percentage of sick health workers continues to decline. Now it is 6%.
The President asked about the observance of quarantine measures in public areas.
"The reduction in the number of health workers infected with COVID-19 shows that the authorities' efforts aimed to protect health workers at the forefront have been right and efficient. I remember that at the beginning of the epidemic, sick doctors made up one-fifth of all those infected. Now the same careful attention should be paid to public areas. For example, restaurants, cafes or clubs. They must be held accountable to their customers. People don't pay money to get infected with a disease for which there is no vaccine yet,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
In response, the National Police said it had inspected the clubs after 10pm and closed the entertainment establishments that had been working. Relevant protocols were also drawn up.
In addition, the National Police reported that only two cities - Kharkiv and Lviv - clearly banned the operation of entertainment establishments after 10 pm, and in the Kherson and Sumy regions there are no conditions for the operation of such establishments at that time at all.
The Ministry of the Internal Affairs will control these facilities more thoroughly to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection.
