As part of his visit to Vilnius to participate in the 9th Summit of the Three Seas Initiative, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel.
The President of Ukraine thanked the Head of the Czech Republic for his steadfast support of Ukraine in countering Russian aggression.
"Thank you for the initiatives of the Czech Republic in support of Ukraine. Thank you for the military assistance we received," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The leaders also discussed defense support for Ukraine and strengthening cooperation in the defense industry.
The President of Ukraine informed his Czech colleague in detail about the situation at the frontlines, the shelling of energy infrastructure by the aggressor state of the Russian Federation, and our country's need for energy equipment.
The counterparts also discussed preparations for the first Global Peace Summit and Ukraine's future membership in the EU and NATO.
Particular attention was paid to the conclusion of a bilateral security agreement between Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
