President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with Speaker of the Knesset of Israel Yuli-Yoel Edelstein in Jerusalem.
The parties commended the traditionally active bilateral political dialogue and expressed hope for maintaining its high dynamics after the parliamentary elections in Israel.
Recent achievements in bilateral relations development over the last decade have been noted, including the annual increase in tourism. Since 2010, when the visa-free regime has been introduced between Ukraine and Israel, tourist flows have increased more than tenfold, negotiators said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the importance of ratification by the Israeli party of the Free Trade Agreement between the states, which Ukraine ratified last August.
"The introduction of a free trade area can help double the trade turnover between the countries in the short term," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
