During a working trip to the Kharkiv region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with business representatives of the region.
"We started by building a "showcase" of Ukraine, we started with infrastructure projects, which are scheduled. We have big plans: what can be built in 10-15 years, our plans include all this to be done in the next four years," the President said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that a large number of talented people live in the Kharkiv region.
"These are people different in age, different in experience, different in profession. This is underlined by the powerful IT industry that you have,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President also noted that a strong intellectual potential is concentrated in the Kharkiv region.
During a meeting, Chairman of the supervisory board of the trust "Zhytlobud-1" Oleksandr Kharchenko urged to resolve the issue of mortgage lending.
The Head of State noted that today in six or eight banks one can get a mortgage loan at 10%.
"Tomorrow we will vote on a bill in the second reading that will allow people to take a mortgage at 7%. We will close this issue. We agreed with the National Bank that in the autumn, by October 1, people will be able to take a mortgage at a maximum of 10%. We already have 10%, now we want less," the President said.
During a meeting, the problem of completion of the Kharkiv Regional Oncology Center was discussed. The President called for a plan to complete the oncology center so that the facility would not become a long-term one.
"Give us a format so that the center can be completed in two years. We will support it," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
IT entrepreneur Roman Katerynchyk noted that Kharkiv ranks first in Ukraine in the number of IT companies. There are 35,000 IT specialists in the region. Last year, IT companies paid UAH 6.4 billion to the budget.
Roman Katerynchyk called for creating more opportunities for education of IT professionals. In particular, to increase the state order for specialties of this branch.
The President supported the proposal of the businessman. In particular, he called for deepening the study of mathematics in educational institutions.
Founder of Agroportex.Bio Dmytro Tytarenko offered to implement a pilot project of an agricultural park in the Kharkiv region. He called for the adoption of legislative documents that will take into account tax preferences for investors.
The President stressed that this week the Verkhovna Rada should consider the bill on "investment nannies" in the second reading. In particular, this document provides for tax exemptions for large investors whose investments exceed $ 30 million.
