During a working trip to the Cherkasy region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of business in the region. The participants of the meeting discussed the problems of entrepreneurs in the region and ways to solve them.
"I always want to have natural communication and dialogue, without rehearsals. Because you hear people and understand the real problems. And you can say exactly where you are ready to help and what you can do, where you are ready to lend a hand,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at the beginning of the meeting.
Representatives of agribusiness thanked the Head of State for the changes in the industry that have taken place under the current government. In particular, for the signing by the President of the law on cooperation, which gives a chance for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. Also during the last year there have been significant positive changes in the geocadastre system, especially in the fight against corruption.
During a conversation, Volodymyr Zelenskyy promised to help improve the credit system for agribusiness.
"When it comes to the irrigation system, we can at least talk with state-owned banks about a separate format of lending. For example, 3-5%. Make suggestions," he said.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of State stressed that the government and business need a dialogue. Therefore, he asked to hold a meeting with the head of the regional state administration at least once a month on current issues. He also urged to contact him if there are difficulties that cannot be resolved without the President.
"Why do we come here? I would never have known the details of the things you are talking about if I had not come here. Yesterday they said that all bandits had been "removed" in Kirovohrad. They showed statistics that everything is fine. I came - people and business gave examples where we see - everything is totally different," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"I want to do everything so that when you come, they say: thank God, law enforcement officers work honestly and no one puts pressure on business," the President added.
