President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov with a request to facilitate the consideration in the second reading of draft law № 3377 “On amendments to certain legislative acts on state support of culture, creative industries, tourism, small and medium businesses due to the restrictive measures related to the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19)”.

This is stated in the letter of the President to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada.

Draft law № 3377, initiated by the people's deputies, was approved by the Parliament on May 13, 2020. The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy was commissioned to finalize and submit the document for consideration by the session hall in the second reading.

In his letter, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasizes that providing social and economic guarantees to support citizens and businesses in the context of quarantine restrictions due to the spread of coronavirus requires quick and effective decisions.

"Given the above mentioned and the importance of supporting businesses operating in the fields of culture and arts, creative industries, cultural and cognitive tourism, whose work is subject to significant restrictions, please facilitate the earliest possible consideration and adoption of the given draft law of Ukraine by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," the letter reads.
