President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on entrepreneurs not to dismiss people in quarantine conditions, as state programs will be developed soon to support citizens and businesses affected by restrictive measures introduced due to the spread of coronavirus.

The Head of State noted that several such programs are being prepared, and they will be targeted at different segments of the population.

"Please do not dismiss people, we will support you - small, medium business. Do not dismiss people,” the President said.

He noted that the efforts of the authorities are now aimed also at providing doctors and medical institutions with everything necessary to combat the spread of coronavirus. Planes depart to China to deliver PCR tests, protective means, including medical masks, to Ukraine.

“We need millions of masks. We have fully prepared the infrastructure for the delivery of millions of masks to Ukraine. We are building a structure separately and have agreed with many hotels in Ukraine: if we do not have enough beds, we will make such premises for observation,” the Head of State said.

The President once again urged citizens to avoid crowds and comply with quarantine.

“This is our country's security, so please spend time at home with your families. The fewer people, especially the elderly, will be on the streets, the more likely our country will pass coronavirus quickly,” the President said.

The Head of State also noted that programs to support the socially disadvantaged groups are being prepared given the COVID-19 spread.
