On the 150th anniversary of the birth of a prominent Ukrainian writer and public figure Lesya Ukrainka, a basket of flowers was laid at the monument to the writer in Kyiv on behalf of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
A flower arrangement was also laid on the grave of Lesya Ukrainka at the Baikove Cemetery in the capital.
It bears reminding that on January 29, 2021, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed Decree № 32/2021 "On celebrating the 150th anniversary of Lesya Ukrainka's birthday" in order to honor the memory of the writer and popularize her works.
