President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of the State of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu.
The interlocutors discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda, as well as outlined further areas of deepening cooperation between Ukraine and Israel.
Particular attention was paid to combating the spread of COVID-19. The President of Ukraine noted the significant progress made by the Government of Israel in vaccinating the country's population and stressed the importance of ensuring equal access to certified vaccines.
"Thank you for your assistance, for your willingness to help speed up the supply of vaccines," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The parties expressed interest in the initiative of mutual recognition of vaccination certificates - "green passports" - in order to restore tourist flows and scheduled flights between Ukraine and Israel.
"Green passports open up travel opportunities between Ukraine and Israel," the President said.
Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that mutual recognition of "green passports" will be beneficial for the economies of both countries.
The interlocutors also discussed the situation in Donbas and the efforts of the Government of Ukraine to achieve a peaceful settlement within the Minsk process.
The President of Ukraine thanked the Prime Minister of Israel for the firm position of the Israeli government in support of Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity, and invited Benjamin Netanyahu to take part in the official events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
