During a working trip to Volyn, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Volyn Regional Perinatal Center in Lutsk. As the General Director of the Center Iryna Horavska told the Head of State, the medical institution is newly created - it started its work on September 12, 2019.
The intensive care unit, where newborns who were born prematurely and with a critically low weight are being treated, was shown to the President. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also saw the conditions in which children are born - modern operating blocks and one of the maternity wards.
"This institution is an example of what every perinatal center in Ukraine should be like," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
