During a working visit to the Poltava region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited a relocated company specializing in the production of motor vehicles and defense industry enterprises. In the presence of the Head of State, the Ministry of Defense signed two defense contracts with manufacturers worth almost UAH 5 billion.
"Thank you for working. It is very important for Ukraine to have a functioning economy. This helps our warriors and so on," the President said, addressing the employees of the relocated company.
The CEO of the enterprise told the Head of State that before the full-scale Russian invasion, the company was located in the Kharkiv region. Due to constant shelling and direct hits, the company was relocated to the Poltava region in July 2022.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy was shown samples of the products manufactured by the company, including trailer equipment and special vehicles.
The President also spoke with people working at the production site, including both local residents and IDPs. Special attention was given to strengthening air defense and ensuring electricity supply.
